KLANG: Provisions in the National Land Code gives district officers (DOs) absolute power to approve temporary occupancy licences for land of 1.2ha or less, a Sessions Court here was told.
Former Sepang district officer Datuk Mansur Ramli, who was testifying at the corruption trial of former Dengkil assemblyman Mohd Sharif Jajang yesterday, added that DOs were also not required to confer with district Land Office committees when approving applications for non-agriculture land.
