Ex-employee to pay hotel RM800,000 for crude scam

KOTA KINABALU: An assistant financial controller was ordered to pay her former employer Tanjung Aru Hotel Sdn Bhd RM800,000 after the High Court found she had misappropriated RM1mil over a two-year period. 

Justice Datuk Ian Chin ordered Shirley Teo to pay 8% interest per annum dating from Oct 17, 2001 and costs to the operator of the Shangri La Tanjung Aru Resort here.
