Amnesty wants Suu Kyi freed

PETALING JAYA: Amnesty International has called for the release of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi and some 1,250 political prisoners in Myanmar. 

In its report Myanmar Travesties of Justice: Continued Misuse of the Legal System, Amnesty condemned the renewed six-month detention under house arrest of Suu Kyi.
