LANGKAWI: Malaysia is banking on the expanding low-cost air carrier business in the region to capture at least 5% of the global Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) market that is expected to be worth RM228bil within the next 10 years.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said budget airlines such as AirAsia were changing the aviation business landscape and providing a new source of growth for the MRO industry.
