KUALA LUMPUR: The Star won six awards at the 2004 MPI (Malaysian Press Institute)-Petronas Malaysian Journalism Awards Night.
Four of the awards were for photography categories – The Star's pixmen Art Chen and Mustaffa Kamal Sellehuddin won first and third placing for best photo essay, receiving RM3,000 and RM1,000, respectively.
