KUALA LUMPUR: A rating agency regulated by Bank Negara should be set up to determine the credit-worthiness of Small- and Medium-size Enterprises (SMEs), MCA vice-president Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai said.
He said the party felt that the Government should set up the agency as banks at present depended on CTOS Sdn Bhd, a private company that compiles data on loan defaulters from various sources, to ascertain the credit-worthiness of SMEs.
