KUALA LUMPUR: Former Rural Development Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Abdul Aziz Muhamad was sentenced to 10 years' jail for abetment of criminal breach of trust (CBT) and cheating involving RM9mil of Terengganu Tengah Development Authority (Ketengah) funds.
Dr Abdul Aziz, 61, is the first ex-secretary-general to be convicted of such an offence in Malaysia. He is out on bail pending an appeal to the High Court.
