KUALA LUMPUR: Local teachers will be given priority to teach Mandarin and Tamil as elective subjects in national schools.
Giving this assurance, Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said this priority was being given although the Government was hiring language teachers from China and India to offset the shortage of local teachers.
