PENANG: Penang, which is enjoying the lowest water tariffs in the country, is not in favour of a standardised water rate for all states.
Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon said it would be unfair for consumers in states with comparatively low water rates, as a result of lower water supply costs, to pay the same rates as other states.
