KOTA KINABALU: Marine police have arrested 25 Filipino crewmen of a locally-registered fishing trawler that was harvesting abalone in an off-limits area in the South China Sea, about 100km north of the city.
Police are now tracking down the owner of the vessel which had encroached into the restricted area near an offshore petroleum production platform. The crewmen, except for the skipper, had fake identification documents.
