KUALA LUMPUR: Police have started investigations into a defamation report lodged by a police officer, who was accused of trying to extort RM5mil from a businessman who stood trial for allegedly murdering a Chinese national.
City police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mustaffa Abdullah said police would carry out their investigations based on the report and submit their findings to the Attorney-Generals Chambers for the next course of action.
