Kota Kinabalu to become second low-cost carrier hub

KOTA KINABALU: Work on making Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) the nation’s second low-cost carrier (LCC) hub after Kuala Lumpur will begin early next year. 

Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman said the LCC hub would be part of the RM700mil KKIA expansion project that included tripling the size of the main terminal from the existing 25,000 sq metres to 79,000 sq metres.
