RENOWNED Tamil poet Vairamuthu from Chennai in Tamil Nadu praised Malaysian writers for their maturity and intellect at a recent Tamil novel-writing contest, reported Malaysia Nanban.
At the prize-giving ceremony for the winners, jointly organised by the Malaysia Tamil Writers Association and the National Union of Plantation Workers, Vairamuthu advised writers to bring out the community’s feelings, sensitivities and struggle for progress in their works.
