ALOR STAR: Tow-truck driver Rosli Hassan, who had been unconscious since a container lorry hit him at the 100.8km point of the North-South Expressway on Sept 26, died at the Alor Star Hospital on Saturday.

His wife Suhaida Saad, 24, and their daughters Norshamimi, four, and Norsharifa, 15 months, were at his bedside when he died.

“I’m very worried about my family’s future as Rosli was the sole breadwinner. I will have to look for work to support my children,” she said yesterday.

Rosli’s remains were laid to rest at the Alor Mengkudu Muslim Cemetery at noon yesterday.

Three others – Mohd Shazwan Abdullah, 33, Mohd Jabir Meera Mydin, 26, and Sicilia @ Vanesa Grant Francis, 24 – were also killed in the accident.
