Shippers told to run a tight ship

PETALING JAYA: The shipping industry should find ways to be less dependent on foreign companies to save on foreign exchange, said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy.  

Shipping and freight charges paid to foreign shippers, he said, were the largest cause of the service account deficit in the balance of payments.
