PETALING JAYA: Public apathy has been blamed for recurring forest and peat fires all over Selangor, according to the Department of Environment.
When the haze goes away, people start fires again. Our public seems to have a tidak apa (couldn't care less) attitude and continue burning, even when the weather is extremely dry, Selangor Department of Environment director Che Asmah Ibrahim said.
