Indon businessman jailed for giving false information

KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian businessman Wira Tjakrawinata was jailed one year and fined RM500,000 by the Kuala Lumpur Sessions court on Monday after he pleaded guilty to causing the issuance of an Energro Berhad (formerly known as Premium Transaction Sdn Bhd) prospectus that contained false information. 

Wira, who is also known as Kenneth Chow, admitted to committing the offence on April 24, 2004 at Suite 568-10-13A, Kompleks Mutiara, No. 568, Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur.His Selangor Datukship was suspended after he was charged in court in October last year.
