TRONOH: Since birth, Malaccan twins Nurafidah Abdul Razak and Nurhayati have rarely been apart.
Yesterday, the 23-year-old twins shared another important event together their graduation.
Both obtained their degrees in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and were among the 563 graduates who received their scrolls at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) convocation in Bandar Seri Iskandar, near here.
Sharing their joy were their proud parents Abdul Razak Dolan, 54 and Sabariah Md Din, 47.
The elder twin by three minutes, Nurafidah, said she and Nurhayati had always done the same things in life and the only time they were separated was during their eight-month practical training.
We went to the same school, studied together, applied for the same course, stayed in the same room in the university and graduated in the same course today.
During our practical, Nurhayati was posted to Seremban while I was in Malacca. Even then, we met up every week, she said.
Although the two have applied for the same jobs, Nurhayati said it would be better if they were not employed in the same company.
I think it is time we went on separate ways and build our own lives.
This will teach us to be on our own and not depend solely on each other, she said.
