PUTRAJAYA: A Cabinet committee to be headed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has been formed after weaknesses were found in the present Approved Permit (AP) policy for imported cars.
The committee, set up after the weekly Cabinet meeting yesterday, will review the AP issuance and further scrutinise the first draft of the National Automotive Policy (NAP) that was prepared by the International Trade and Industry Ministry.
