PENANG: Vegetables will cost more following the recent rise in fuel prices, but consumers have been assured that the increase will only be between 3% and 5%.
Federation of Vegetable Sellers Associations adviser Datuk Yeoh Chip Tong said this was because fuel costs influenced the price of vegetables, as diesel was used to power farm machines and used by lorries to transport goods.
