KUCHING: Billed as the region’s most successful world music event, the Rainforest World Music Festival blasted off into its eighth year before thousands of fans at the foothills of the legendary Mount Santubong near here on Friday night.
The three-day fest, which ends tonight at the Sarawak Cultural Village, has drawn a string of world luminaries with their own unique instruments and song routines and a sell-out crowd that included entertainment writers as well as broadcasting and TV production houses from all over the globe.
