PENANG: Port users here and related trade bodies are unhappy over Port Klang's move to reduce the free container storage period from five days to three days, and will send a protest memorandum to the Malaysia National Shippers Council (MNSC).

Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Transportation and Customs Committee executive council convenor Wong Yim Fatt said reducing the free storage period would have a negative impact on the country's shipping business in the long run.
