KUALA LUMPUR: The young Filipina who was caught with more than 5kg of cocaine at the KL International Airport on Tuesday is just a small player in an international web of drug smuggling, police here believe.
The 25-year-old stunner was probably just one of the many men and women used by a suspected West African syndicate as “mules” to courier drugs, said Federal narcotics department director Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Najib Abdul Aziz.
