KUALA LUMPUR: Rising road insurance costs for tour coaches – by as much as 200% – coupled with increasing diesel prices may cause Malaysia to lose its edge in drawing tourists to the country.
“It is very disturbing to find that tour coach operators have been unable to find insurance cover at a reasonable cost,” said Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) president Tunku Iskandar Tunku Abdullah.
