KUANTAN: Four men who robber a doctor and his wife at their clinic of some RM12,000 in cash and jewellery did not have long to enjoy their ill-gotten gains.

Within an hour of escaping with the loot, one of the suspects was apprehended at a roadblock.

He later led police to the robbers' hideout where the loot was recovered.

The robbers had set upon the couple at 9.40pm as they were closing up for the day on Tuesday.

They then produced a parang and forced the couple back into the clinic.

They took the day's takings of about RM7,000 and robbed the woman of jewellery worth RM5,000.

CID chief Acting Assistant Commissioner Narenasagaran Thangaveloo said police also found a packet containing white powder, believed to be drugs at the robbers' hideout.
