UM must make quality its priority, says PM

KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Malaya (UM) has a role to build itself as a centre of knowledge and be directly involved in assisting the national development agenda, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said. 

Abdullah said, through imparting education, UM had empowered hundreds of thousands of Malaysians, enriching them with knowledge, skills and cultural capital.
