KOTA KINABALU: Permits are required for the import and export of food products between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah to ensure that public health is not compromised, state Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Datuk Rahim Ismail said.
“The permits are necessary and is part and parcel of the internationally agreed policy of importing and exporting meat products to ensure that such products are free of disease,” he said.
