SYDNEY: Three-year-old Naomi Leong, who was released after spending her entire life locked up in an Australian immigration detention centre is suffering mental health problems, said a psychiatrist who examined her.
Malaysian Virginia Leong and her daughter, Naomi, were released from Sydney’s Villawood detention centre on Monday after a meeting between their lawyer and Immigration department officials, said department spokesman Sarah Crichton.
