Author fails in bid to seek adjournment of trial

KUALA LUMPUR: Author Datuk Khalid Jafri has failed in his bid in the High Court to seek an adjournment of the trial to assess damages following Datuk Anwar Ibrahim’s defamation suit against him. 

Justice Mohd Hishamudin Mohd Yunus told Khalid Yusoff, Khalid Jafri’s counsel, and Sulaiman Abdullah, Anwar’s counsel, in chambers yesterday that the trial would go on as scheduled on Aug 16.
