KUALA LUMPUR: An Iranian researcher at the Engineering Faculty of Universiti Malaya (UM), who invented an electronic walking stick to assist the blind, plans to commercialise his effort.
The walking stick invented by Prof Mahmoud Moghavvemi is equipped with two sensors to detect objects from as far as 3m, and an earphone to enable the user to feel vibrations.
