MOST of the tuberculosis cases in Malaysia are imported, Deputy Health Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Latif Ahmad said, adding that the country was a nation with medium-class incidences of the disease.
The imported cases are from foreign workers. HIV patients also make up part of these cases as they are in the high-risk group, he said. Malaysia is in the same standing as Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
