PENANG: The air quality at an electronics plant here, where more than 80 workers were reported sick early last week after a diesel spill, meets international safety and toxic standards, an independent consultant said.
Biochem, a laboratory certified under the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), found that the factory's air content of hydrogen sulphide was well within the permissible exposure limit of 10 parts per million (ppm).
