PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal has restored a suit filed by 184 pig farmers and the next-of-kin of those who died during the 1998-99 Nipah virus epidemic against the Federal Government and three state governments.
In unanimously allowing the appeal of Lay Kee Tee and 183 others, Court of Appeal judges Justices Gopal Sri Ram, Richard Malanjum and Hashim Mohd Yusoff directed that all orders of the High Court be set aside and that the defendants deliver their defence no later than June 30 this year.
