NZ advice sought on government-linked firms

AUCKLAND: Malaysia is looking to New Zealand for some much-needed answers to the awesome task of transforming its government-linked companies into dynamic engines for economic growth and development.  

For this, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday held an hour-long discussion with prominent NZ leaders who had the political will and, some say, the ruthlessness to cut and slash flabby and inefficient State-Owned Enterprises and turn them around into the lean and efficient economic entities they are today.
