THE refugee camps set up by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in Sabah during the 1970s have outlived the reason for their existence and should be closed immediately.
In debating the royal address at the Dewan Raykat yesterday, Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin (BN - Papar) said the camps were dilapidated and had turned into hubs for criminal activities.
