MCA’s proposal for more national-type Chinese schools under the Ninth Malaysia Plan drew the attention of Barisan Nasional and Opposition MPs during the debate on the royal address.
Datuk Rosli Mat Hassan (BN – Dungun) said the Government should consider setting up a special committee or commission to find out why non-Malay parents, especially the Chinese, were reluctant to send their children to national schools.
