MALACCA: A company director was fined RM10,000 by a Sessions Court yesterday for discharging effluents without a permit and exceeding the “acceptable condition” under regulations stipulated in the Environmental Qualities Act.
Ho Sam Meng, a director of Paper Pulp Sdn Bhd located at Lot 72, Masjid Tanah Industrial Area, admitted to committing the offence at 10.50am on July 12, last year.
