IPOH: A 26-year-old convicted rapist took a Sessions Court judge by surprise when he asked to be jailed and whipped for his crime.
Instead of pleading for leniency during mitigation, Mohd Din Ismail calmly said: “Yang Arif, saya pohon dijatuhkan lapan tahun penjara dan enam sebatan (Your honour, I ask to be jailed eight years and whipped six times).”
