PONTIAN: Three more mangrove forests in the state with a combined area of 12,000ha will be declared as Ramsar sites, making Johor the state with the largest protected wetlands.
Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said the new sites were Sungai Lebam, Sungai Sebana and Sungai Santi, all in the Kota Tinggi area.
