Agent held over attempt to smuggle timber to China

SUNGAI PETANI: A 27-year-old forwarding agent from Penang was detained for allegedly trying to smuggle sawn rubber wood worth more than RM92,000 to China. 

The state Customs Department also seized 18,659 pieces of sawn timber from three containers at the North Butterworth Container Terminal on Feb 23.
