KUALA LUMPUR: The level of human rights awareness among the enforcement authorities and civil servants is low, according to Suhakam commissioner Prof Datuk Hamdan Adnan.
He cited as examples the “Mat Skodeng” morality snoop squad set up by the Malacca 4B Youth and the encouragement by the Inland Revenue Board to people to snitch on their neighbours who evaded taxes.
