200 attend slain lawyer’s funeral

KUCHING: Members of the legal fraternity were among some 200 relatives and friends who bade a final farewell to murdered lawyer Fabian Lim Ann Hoaw yesterday. 

Lim, 54, who was shot by an unknown gunman riding pillion on a motorcycle outside a food centre in Jalan Rubber on Friday, was laid to rest at the Nirvana Memorial Park near Bau. 

State Assistant Minister for Urban Development Datuk Alfred Yap Chin Loi, who  

was Lim's classmate in Britain, and Bandar Kuching MP Chong Chieng Jen were also present.  

Lim’s cortege left the Kasuma Resort Clubhouse in Petra Jaya at 10am yesterday. 

Lim leaves behind his wife Leenie Chin Siew Chin, son Jimmy Lim Kim Meng and daughters Tracy Lim Ee Shan and Debbie Lim Ruo Ee. 

Police have set up a special task force to investigate the murder.  

They have yet to pick up any suspect.
