SERI KEMBANGAN: Three Inti College students from China took the opportunity to shop for low fares at the MAS Travel Fair 2005 yesterday.

The three – Liu Bin, 24, Zhang Hai Liang, 23, and Zhu Feng, 25 – hoped to return to Beijing in April to spend time with their family and friends.

Liu said they wanted to compare prices before booking their tickets.

“We want to look for a good offer as there are many agents here,” he said.

Zhang said there was also a travel agency in their college which offered a good deal.

“If we can’t find an agency that could give us a cheaper price, then we’ll book our tickets at the college,” he added.

General manager Hussain Nayan, 52, who had been planning to take his family on a holiday, was at the fair to look for reasonably priced tour packages.

“I took them to London last year and this year, I want to take them to an Asian country, either Thailand or Indonesia,” he said.

Hussain said he usually took his family for a holiday after they had saved enough money.

His wife Zalela Osman, 44, said they were looking for a three-day-and-two-night trip.

“We want to go on a weekend because it is easier and our children can go to school when we return on Monday,” she said.

Consultant N. Thilla, 32, and her businessman fiance S. Ramesh found a Golden Holiday package to Bali for their honeymoon trip next month.

“We didn’t go around looking for any other deals before today and I always travel with MAS,” said Thilla.

“MAS is more reliable and since we will be going for our honeymoon, we don’t want to take any risks,” she added.
