RM260,000 raised in aid of tsunami victims

KEPALA BATAS: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail participated in a one-day golf tournament which raised RM260,000 for the TYT Disaster Relief Fund in aid of tsunami victims. 

The ACMS Tsunami Charity golf tournament held at the Penang Golf Resort in Bertam here yesterday attracted 144 golfers, with some from as far as Kuala Lumpur. 

Among the major donors were Penang Council of Datuks, which contributed RM110,000, Bertam Properties Sdn Bhd (RM30,000), Penang Port Sdn Bhd (RM20,000) and JKP Sdn Bhd (RM10,000).
