MIRI: Sarawak is ushering in the Year of the Rooster in style, staging a grand Chinese New Year bazaar in the historic Chinatown here, and launching a 100-day countdown to the day when this oil town is expected to be declared a resort city.
Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, who started the countdown yesterday, said this year would be very significant as Sarawak was expected to have its second city, after Kuching.
