THE Government should upgrade facilities in Tamil schools as many of them are still without basic infrastructure, Malaysia Hindu Youth Organisation outgoing president R.P. Velayutham said.

Tamil Nesan and Malaysia Nanban highlighted the organisation's complaint of poor infrastructure which was raised at its 41st general assembly in Air Keroh, Malacca, on Sunday.

Malaysia Nanban reported Velayutham as saying that the academic performance of Tamil school pupils could improve if the basic infrastructure were upgraded.
