MIRI: The risk of diseases being introduced by outsiders to the Penan community is high in relation to the Bakun hydroelectric dam project, according to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report.
The report said the project would create widespread impact on the entire Bakun region as some 69,640ha of land, or roughly the size of Singapore, would be inundated.
