THE special sitting also saw one hour being set aside to debate a motion on dengue fever as the disease had reached a serious magnitude, with more than 1,000 people being diagnosed with the ailment in a week.
Datuk Dr Raman Ismail (BN - Gombak), in tabling the motion, said dengue fever was reported to have attained a serious proportion in several states, especially in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Pahang.
