PENANG: Oblivious to the fuss about her win in the British Councils Young Learners Art Competition, Shelyn Ooi Shiyan, a precocious eight-year-old, sat absorbed in a storybook.
Shelyn, a pupil at SRJK (C) Keong Hoe, is the first Malaysian to emerge tops in the annual global competition which attracted more than 7,000 entries from 110 countries.
