PETALING JAYA: The proposed Media Council will be free from government interference if it comes into being, Information Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir said.
This was because the idea of setting up the council was mooted by the Malaysian Press Institute and not the Government, he said.
